Oh, so you mean this part right? Yep, that's possible. I went ahead and cleaned up the HTML and CSS for ya. So you would like to change the background color to match the current theme correct? The text can already be changed in the global header area here: I do not mean the background color inside of the box model.I mean the global header area that the box model sits on/sits behind of. I do not want the forum's background/body effected.

Oh Ok. I thought you were talking about the whole top background behind your image that Ulises posted about.
Sorry I couldn't help. Good luck.

So, it is not possible to go into the global header and add background header color code that would encompass a certain percentage, or a certain number of pixels without extending into/onto the theme's background color?
Part of my example question: Background solid color- top center-50 percent? Background solid color- top center-400 px?

private , In reviewing this thread, I think what you want can be accomplished by putting the existing <div id="sm_box_wrapper"> inside of another div and then style this one.

He and I were posting here at the same time. He put images there, in the same way I put a solid color via the instructions I have in my earlier post.
Here's an example of what I think you mean. Where the darker blue is located.
ps. There's also a plugin to do this for "different page banners." You can put an image and a background color in the banner area. The above picture, is for a theme though.

Sorry Skidjit, you're targeting the banner area, and private is referring to the area below that. Between the navigation tree and the categories.
