So, I've been really thinking about a logo. My Brand is Be Happy, in case you didn't know. Just like other YouTubers like Roman Atwood. I want to spread positivity, and spread happiness around. Now my design for it, I think it looks ok, but I think it could look tons better I think. It's got potential, but it looks like this: It's a little blurry because I made it small, did A LOT of edits, and then made it bigger. The eyes, Carla says look very creepy. But what can I really do with the eyes? I don't know how to make anything else other than dots. haha. But what do you get from this image? I'm not an artist, and making stick figures on paper is all I can do with a circle and dots for eyes. Of course the eyes are not the main subject. All I want is simpleness on it. I mean on certain background (especially the Err bear) it looks crappy. But it will be going on shirts too eventually. I might invert the colors for dark colored shirts.

But what do you get from this image? Yeah. I may have some suggestions later, after my brain wakes up.

It's...well, it's terrifying I think its the eyebrows. The Be Happy white text look like teeth if I look really quickly... scary teeth! This is rather simple to do in illustrator and have it look straighter, I mean so that the text isn't warped it actually lines up with the curves of the face. Let me know if you want me to give it a whirl

Brutal honesty? It looks very amateur. The text doesn't really sit right with the curves. The eyes are creepy rather than happy. The text inside the mouth looks kind of like creepy teeth. And would people really pay for your name and a smiley face to be printed on a tshirt? If I were you, I wouldn't bother with that unless you get really, really popular.
My suggestion would be to come up with a basic idea, and then get a graphic designer to design you something. Either a friend who can help you out, or someone you can pay.

I think possible rounded/circular sides for the mouth could help make it less sinister, rather than it being transformed form a rectangle at the moment. I would definite say yes to Smangii's offer. Might as well

I don't like the happy face, it little creepy.
If you slogan is 'Be Happy' I would think about jsut using that. Design a good, recognisable font and use that as the logo.
Coca Cola is recognisable due to font more then anything, dont always need a symbol

On mobile so not gonna quite people.
That's the same responses on a YT FB group. Bahaha.
Yes Smangiii you can touch it up.
I draw stick figures so it wouldn't be to far off from your grandson.
And soren, I do just have a text, but I've gotten responses from many different people saying they wouldn't buy anything from me with just plain boring text and not a good design. This is people who watch my videos every upload and want to help support in other ways other than YouTube. But they refuse to buy my merch until I have a design, something that would stand out and make people look at the shirt.
I know I Ignore shirts with just plain Jane writing. I look at the logos the designs. And that makes it's memorable.

Creepy, yeah.
I would take the text out of the mouth and make it into crazy, happy hair, then get rid of the eyebrows and soften the mouth.

I'd love to have the mouth "BeHappy" I'm trying to be unique. I made a psd so I can easily edit it. When I get home from the dentist I'll try that.

Just curious- why the "be happy" tagline? It doesn't seem to fit for a random vlogger. It's something one might expect for a self-help guru or something. Even then, it's a little too forced.
In all the time I've seen you discuss your stuff here, a smiley face as a logo doesn't seem to have been a thing. It's definitely possible to have it as a logo, but it's so generic that it's going to be hard to have that become "yours." I'd recommend seriously considering scrapping the smiley face and think up some other thing that can be made into an icon or logo.
For example: Nick (small logo) Bean
Just your name sort of stacked with the image between. Maybe off to the side have a catchphrase or whatever. Make that something that captures your spirit, not something that seems like an eery command to the audience.

Make that something that captures your spirit, not something that seems like an eery command to the audience. Actually Be Happy has been my tag line since I started vlogging again. Spreading happiness. It's so accustomed to say it now at the end of every vlog now my followers are saying it. So its a little to late kind of to change it when people are commenting it. It's a derivative from Roman Atwood's Smile More. He spreads smiles. I want to spread happiness around. It's a little demanding yes, but Be Happy will change the world for the better. Happiness brings joy, joy brings positivity. Positivity brings a better person. It's so much more. I know I'm calling the kettle black and have not lived up to my tag line most days. But it's easy to fall into negativity. My tag line has helped me through the loss of my baby. And not in a strange way. Just positive he is in a better place now. I'm still sad about it of course. I want to help others by spreading happiness, cheerfulness, and positivity. I think my Tag Line really helps in some way. I dont outright say. Be Happy!! Lol, that would really be demanding and make people sour I think. This is what it looks like on a thumbnail.

@ncbean These are really quick examples... I think the lacking eyebrows makes it a gentler, happier face. Also to make the "teeth words" seem less sinister, I made the mouth part a bit of a larger smile. Let me know if this jives with your idea for the vlog

I only did mine in Photoshop. Used the Arch tool. But you said you did this in illustrator? That looks very good! The no brows fits me right now. Haha. I do want a gentler approach. Everyone told me that it is creepy. Not just on here. Friends and family. It's like ok, I get it. XD Showed Carla your work and she said "Yeah, not even creepy anymore."
