Why do some pictures upload sideways, but when you poke on them to enlarge they're positioned correctly.
Also, we have a couple of members who's posts disappear. They say they do a full post and see it posted but when they come back it's gone. It happened one time to me when we first opened the forum but hasn't happened again.
Thanks!

Hi Could you cite an example of the picture uploading sideways please, and could you check the source of the image isn't sideways too. In regards to the second problem. Can you see the posts, even though they can not? Have you made any recent changes to the forum that would coincide with the problem appearing?

Here's the example: When you poke on the picture it's right side up. I've posted several pictures to our forum some go sideways some don't. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with size, they're all jpgs. Here, I'll post one that posted correctly: On my desktop both pictures are upside right. As far as the disappearing posts, we have made no changes to the forum at all. When it happened to me, I wrote out the post, posted it, saw it and when I came back later it was gone. And no, nobody see's the missing posts. They're just gone. It only happened to me once but it's happened a few times to a couple of other girls.

And now that I'm seeing how those pictures post, how do I set the hover option for the picture to open/enlarge in a pop up? I went back thru some threads and something I just discovered is that it seem only to be the pictures taken with my phone that upload sideways. Hmmmmm

Phone images (most commonly those taken on an iPhone or digital camera) can contain EXIF information within the files that determines their orientation. Your browser may interpret this data differently depending on whether or not the image was embedded in the page or if the image file is being viewed directly, and the thumbnail generator may strip this data entirely and show the image in its original orientation (since it's saving a new version of the image to produce the thumbnail). For consistent results I would recommend either resaving a new copy of the image using an image editor on your PC or stripping the EXIF data from the original image using a program found online. The Forum Tooltips plugin can show the full version of an image when hovering over it.

In regards to the disappearing posts, we wouldn't be able to begin diagnosing the issue without a forum URL.

Thank you for your help! And for the great plug in! It's installed and working perfectly.
As far as the disappearing posts, I'll find out more, if they're posting using quick reply or the reply options. If nobody else has had the problem it's probably user error. If it continues I'll be back.
Thank you for your quick response to issues. Truly appreciated!!
