Technically, unless the request rules have changed, you're supposed to download and re-host images yourself, but I'm not too bothered since I'm just using a free hosting site anyway.  So the direct link is: i.imgur.com/w80Y0PG.jpg

Did you read their ToS?

Don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it.

There was a thread here on support when Imgur changed their ToS more than a year ago.

As long as the person doesn't link from the imgur upload that should be OK -- the specific policy is "website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into a content delivery network", so uploading something to imgur and linking to it for someone to download and host themselves wouldn't be turning imgur into a CDN, just a host.

If that imgur link was then used to (as it says on the tin) deliver content on a web page, ie display it without going back to the imgur site proper, then it would fall under CDN usage. (:

Yes, but I"m not sure if VanillaOrchids , has a forum and is using Imgur for that. So I just wanted to give a heads up to keep his forum safe if he is using it and unaware of their ToS.

Thank you ? ? and Kami for the information! I don't use that site for myself. I have my own domains/hosting if need be. I was just using it to upload graphics that I made for others as a couple of the previous places that I used for that reason have either deleted images or are no longer free.

So thanks again! I'll be sure to tell people to download anything I may make for them from now on or just find another hosting site.
