I'm reviewing a book for one of my forums. Since I know that some of my members have not yet read the book, I would like to use spoiler tags to hide contents in my review that they may not want to see until they've read the book, while making it available for those who already have.
Is there a way to create spoiler tags? I tried

but that didn't work. LOL!

Maude Fealy , Those are the exact tags that you do use (within a post). What didn't work? Text hidden in spoiler
Text hidden in spoiler
Sorry for not replying sooner, I had to go out. OK I was looking at it in Preview and all I could see was my text. Nothing clickable and certainly no Spoiler button! So I tried it in an admin area and actually created a post with a spoiler tag. The spoiler tag appears as a link. I'd much prefer a button, like the one I see in your post above. How do make that appear as a button? I don't see anything in the forum settings that will do this. Thanks again!

Maude Fealy, Ah yes, the spoiler link doesn't show in the preview but will show once posted. The link is the normal way it's displayed. The button you see is a CSS modification to the theme you are using. Add the following the the theme(s) CSS you have to make it a button: .spoiler_header > a { color: @buttons_text_color; font: @buttons_text_font; background-color: @buttons_background_color; background-image: @buttons_background_image; background-attachment: @buttons_background_attachment; background-repeat: @buttons_background_repeat; background-position: @buttons_background_position; border: @buttons_border; .rounded-corners(@buttons_border_radius); min-height: 20px; line-height: 20px !important; padding: 2px 4px; display: inline-block; vertical-align: middle; cursor: pointer; white-space: nowrap; } .spoiler_header > a:hover { color: @buttons_hover_text_color; font: @buttons_text_font; text-decoration: @buttons_text_decoration; background: @buttons_hover_background; border: @buttons_hover_border; }

Thanks Scott That is exactly what I needed. Of course, since I have 22 themes between my two forums, it will take a little time to insert into each theme's CSS... Where should I put that in the CSS? Thanks again!

Scott I'm not trying to hijack this thread but it's the only post I saw so far that had a code but the code was still text. When I copy a code to show people what may have been wrong, the code doesn't show the text anymore so they can't help me. I didn't know how to ask for this w/o being able to actually SHOW what I'm trying to ask! So, how did you put the spoiler tag perfectly & it still showing the text of it? Thank you!

ZandraJoi, would you mind starting your own thread for this, please? Thanks!
