The Users can write to their own content should be checked, correct?

The Users can write to their own content should be checked, correct? Correct. If it is not checked, then they would not be able to write to their own key - which would prevent the key from keeping track of their individual amount.

Lynx, I have one member on Losing It that keeps disappearing from the Leaderboard. She dropped off in the big purge we had yesterday. Clicked to get back on and then disappeared again (three times). So something is still wrong as I didn't notice this ever happening before. User is joletsgo if that helps.

BTW, we aren't using the latest version of the game. Have any changes been made that might alleviate our issues? I've hesitated installing newer versions because none of the features appeared to be things of use to us. And I didn't want to start over fixing all the settings. But if you think it will help, we can do that. Can I install a newer version without wiping out everyone's scores?

That member was back on the board (and had a correct count when matched against the MP count) when I checked just a few minutes ago. I made a post in the thread you tagged me in. Looking at your source, you are on the latest version (1.0.4), so that can't be the issue - as you're already updated.

For some reason I thought there'd been a version or two since I last updated. I must have gone ahead and updated and just forgot. I've changed the frequency to 20 now so let's see if that calms things down.

Lynx, I used an image today that at least two players said they couldn't see. Though I checked and others could see it. The two that couldn't said the Proboards toolbar indicator said there was an image on the page, but they couldn't see the image.
I always use images I upload to my own Image Shack account, so SSLs shouldn't be the issue. Can you think of another reason why some players could see an image when others can't?

m2marsh, this could be a browser problem, too. I sometimes (but luckily rarely) experience that some members can't see certain images that I do and it turns out that they use different browsers than me. Normally, Chrome has least such defects, while I'm quite a bit disappointed in Edge, which doesn't even display all emojies completely with colours and shadoes like Chrome does. So ask around about the members' browsers and see if a pattern emerges. But of course, it can also be a coding issue that MSG may be able to fix.

One of the members told me she tried several different browsers and cleared her cache and cookies and all that stuff. It seemed to be just that one image. Not a big deal. I was just curious what might have gone wrong.

m2marsh and Tix Mascot, Something else to keep in mind, as it's happened on my forum (typically, just on the home page though) - I've had images appear well below the footer. I've actually had to scroll quite a ways down to see it at the very bottom - with my footer actually ending up being about half the scroll distance. The indicator doesn't lie (at least, not that I've found), so make sure your users - especially on the home page - are scrolling down, even if they go past the footer. Also, depending on the image dimensions, it may get cut off on the left or right side. This is an extreme rarity, but it has happened to me. Fortunately, it's only happened about 2 times. The plugin uses the image dimensions to keep it inside the forum width and height, so this really shouldn't be an issue. Lastly, check to make sure you don't have anything added that may have a z-index applied - as this may cover the image. It's quite doubtful that this is the cause, as most of your members can see the image, but something to keep in mind. Remember that the prize image is placed randomly on the screen. I've even seen it appear over mini-profiles and it could conceivably be placed over the image next to the user's count on their MP - which would camouflage it nicely. So, if the detector shows that there is a prize on the screen, it's there - it just may be somewhat camouflaged.

MSG, I'm pretty sure that my issue was user error at not being able to see or find the image. It just seemed odd to me that two different members couldn't find that one particular image that day. It's never happened before or since. But it really wasn't a big deal. Once the two players complained, I just swapped the image out and everything was back to normal.

m2marsh, Can you send, or link me to, the image that you had used? If you prefer to do that on one of your forums, just let me know which forum and I'll go there to get it.

Just some quick comments: I have never experienced (or having been told about) a single case of detector error, so I agree that it seems 100% foolproof. Yes, images may appear all over the forum pages, sometimes even partly out of sight, but always clickable. One minor, but slightly annoying detail is that they may cover other clickable functions with a field of maybe 3 x 3 inches (and much larger than the image itself) on the screen, so that you see the image, but don't want to click on it, however, you think you have clicked on a button or something else, but suddenly realise that you have clicked on an image's field instead, so the point value adds to your score even if you did't want to. No big deal, though...

No big deal, though... Take note that, if you do plan on clicking the prize and not just at that time, waiting to click it can throw the leaderboard off (individual counts will always remain accurate, however). If you are excluding yourself from the hunt, but don't utilize an opt-out, remember that you can always go to your profile and use the Clear Scavenger Hunt Data button to clear your entry without affecting anyone else's score.

Wait... What? Does that mean that if I see an image and don't click on it, and then just stop looking at the forum for a couple of hours, I can impact the leaderboard? If that's the case, no wonder my leaderboard and mini profile counts are often off. I don't hardly ever click on the images. And there are certainly times when the image is on the screen but I don't click and just leave it there and move on to look at another forum. When I return, the image is still there. Are you saying that that could be why my leaderboard counts go off?
