You can specify what images to use as the item to find right in the settings. All you need to do is host the images. Since it's for the Scavenger Hunt plugin, I host mine right in one of my theme's custom images section.

Below are the 2 options for the image to use. The top option (inside the red box) is the larger image that is clicked on when found, and the bottom option (inside the red box) is for the smaller image next to the count:

I change them every day! You just go into the manage plugins area for this plug-in and click the what's the prize tab. There's pretty good help buttons there to explain what things are what. You can use your own images in a lot of the fields. I have a leprechaun hunt going on right now!

Yes, you just open the plugin, click on the tag named "What's The Prize?" and change the info in the boxes there, including the URL address to the images.

This plugin comes with a lot of customisation possibilities, so I suggest that you look carefully at the content of all the tags there and also click on the "Build Plugin" button for more options.

I have modified it a lot and I normally change the theme, including the gifs and text in the message boxes every 4-5 months, as soon as the members want something new. By then, the most diligent of them would have collected 15000-20000 items in their containers.

The developer, Lynx, says that is on her list of improvements when she has time to work on this plugin. Meanwhile, no there's no way except for looking at the individual's mini profile.

There is currently no hard-coded limit, nor is there currently an option to set a limit. I can see about adding that as an option when I have time.

What should happen when someone gets the limit (other than a message)?

Fire works of course!!!! But I would be happy with a message...or a message naming the member who snagged it? Its seems that way I would feel less guilty about resetting everyone to zero for the next game. I think it would add a sense of urgency and fun.

If that is put in place, I certainly hope it would be an option only. I have people who collect billions of prizes right away, and others who don't. We would hit our limit immediately and then no one else could play.

It might be worth noting as well that if your Forum pays for AdFree like one of mine does, this game sure increases the heck out of page views. It could easily put a forum over their paid for ad free space and bring the ads back right away.

I read through the thread and still can't find an answer. Is there a way to view how much of each item that someone has collected? We're turning in letters and I can't seem to find a place on the default theme or our theme to view this. I tried looking through the plug in as well with no luck.

^^; It's probably just me, but I thought I'd ask for help for a change.

You just start over...and you make the amount as smalk or large as befits the size of membership...the way it is now its just infinite and thus finding items is trivial.

If it was added, it would be an option - something like Use Upper Limit?. If Yes, then it stops when someone hits the upper limit. If set to No, it would run like it does now.

Each item? Can you please clarify - as this plugin is designed to have 1 item at a time to look for (there's no image rotation for different images). If you're inquiring about a leaderboard, then that a WIP (Work In Progress) right now. As of right now, the only way to see who has how many, is to view one of their posts.

It would be an option that the forum admin could turn on or off (use or not use). When we run a hunt on 1 of my forums, we run for a month. Doesn't matter how many are collected, just who has the most at the end of the month - so I probably wouldn't use any limit either.
