There is a comic called The Maxx that is pretty trippy 🙂 What is it about?

I'm in to my funny/punny fantasy series stage now. I'm reading the Xanth series. Currently on HARPY THYME.

I picked this book up at our local community cafe, 'The Caller' by Chris Carter and quite enjoyed it, a bit gruesome reading it but I will have to get more of his books, a crime thriller.

Have any of you read the Harry Potter series (not seen the movies but read the books)? I don't understand how I can get halfway through the series and then - wham - I just lose interest.

I've read all of the books three times: when they first came out, again when I was 19, and again when I was 26. I'll be due for a re-read when I'm 33!

You are a lot like I am - when I find a series that I love I re-re-read them into eternity! Some of my favorite series I re-read every year or so! (sometimes twice a year) Do you belong to Goodreads? I think I do this not only because they are great books, but because books have gotten so expensive that I don't like taking a chance on spending my cash on a bad book.

That's because that series sucks. I only read it because my wife was a fan. The only good book to my mind is the fourth one. The movies are all bleh.

I am currently in the middle of re-reading the Harry Potter series. I'm on Prizoner of Azkaban. I'm super in love with the series, both the books and the movies.

I finally finished the Harry Potter series. I don't know if any of you have ever heard of the Ilona Andrews team or her series (that just ended) but Harry Potter reminds me a lot of the protagonist, Kate Daniels. She too had this huge hero complex. Always was trying to put her life ahead of everyone else's.
I vowed to read at least 10 books over 500 pages...this series sure helped me surpass my goal!

I started hearing a lot about Ilona Andrews recently -- mostly because one of my author friends got some comments from them and it made her giddy -- but I looked them up and they look really good, so I'll probably get started... oh, who knows. My TBR is massive. But it's not at the bottom of the list. I just added Sawkill Girls to my list, because it recently came out and almost everyone I know is reading it for October or just because it looks good. It's really strange but really good so far. It's one of those books where so much has already happened and I realize I'm not even 25% done yet.
