I Have A V6 Question As Well

Will our themes no longer work with V6? Will the transfer to V6 cause cosmetic changes? 


Also i understand there will be a forced update to V6 18 months after the initial launch. 


So is it going to be forced on our current default theme? Or will members have to access it in the Theme Settings?

I the beta closed for V6 now?

We've yet to announce dates for a closed beta at this time.

I mean is there any way i can test it out now? Recently we were able to try it out. I gave it a few minutes and that was it. Id like to invest more time with it now that i have some time. 

Im stressing over the release of V6. lol I just fear the amount of work that will go into fixing themes...updating all plug ins etc. 

Wouldnt mind getting a feel for it. But i think that was accessible in my theme settings? And now its gone. Thats why i asked if the test run for V6 was closed.

The test period ended around the end of January. It'll unfortunately be unavailable until the next testing period is announced.

This is what the 18 month period following its release will be for. Most v5 plugins will need small updates from their authors to work with v6, while v5 themes will no longer work after the 18 month period following the release of v6.

Once the test period ended the theme was removed from the dropdown. You'll get another chance to test it before it's released. At some point you'll also be able to test it on your forum and not just be limited to testing out regular user features.

Once the test period ended the theme was removed from the dropdown. You'll get another chance to test it before it's released. At some point you'll also be able to test it on your forum and not just be limited to testing out regular user features.

Ok thanks. Im sure there will be an open discussion pertaining to plug ins that need updates.
