notifications for bookmarked/participated threads not workin

Hey,
So on this forum, a few of us write Choose Your Own Adventure stories using actions sent in by other users. In an attempt to make it easier to tell if someone has replied to my own threads, or when another one is being updated, I've tried to turn on forum and email notifications for bookmarked threads (my own) and threads I've participated in.



Despite updating my settings, I haven't been receiving notifications for new posts in these threads in either my email inbox or on the notifications tab of my profile. I know it's specifically these types of notifications that aren't sending, as having a friend quote me resulted in both an email and a forum notification as normal.

Hi, dimitribarronmore.

On which date did you turn on each of these notifications?

It's worth noting that neither of the notification types in your screenshot will appear in the Notifications tab of your profile. Bookmark notifications will appear above the Bookmark button, and Participated buttons show in the form of a "new" icon within the Participated button below the logout link.

There are two mail log entries for emails that have gone out today for the email address you have tied to your account here. These times are in UTC.

I turned them on two days ago on Saturday, which would be June 23rd. Those two emails from today were first when I had a friend quote me to see if other types of email notifications were working, and second the confirmation email from when I linked my account on this forum.

It's good to know that the forum notifications appear in other places, but regardless, I haven't seen either type of indicator despite new posts being made.

I made two posts in one of your bookmarked threads, and two more entries appeared in the mail log. Did you receive notifications for either of those?

Two posts, two emails in my inbox, both seemingly appearing immediately after the post was made. Whatever it is that changed, they seem to be sending correctly again.
