Thank you very much, Todge! Not sure if it's too late to mention this, or if you already planned to add it in, but possibly letting (at least) the main admin (or admin and staff) to edit / delete any member -made labels. I don't expect my members to abuse it, but I wouldn't want someone to decide that they were going to make a label named mess You (or something similar) and me not being able to edit or delete it. Thanks!

Todge, Since the OP hasn't been back to comment on this, if you can still make the plugin - I'd prefer the method where my users can add their own labels. If possible, though, it would also be good if they can be limited to what board(s) they can apply them in. Thanks! Just a couple of quick question before I start this.. Do you want the labels to be added to each post or each thread they start? And do you want the labels to be tied to the ember.. That is, say, if a member adds 'Chicago', then Chicago would be displayed wherever the label is displayed.. If they then change it to Denver, it would change all their other labels to Denver. As far as key use goes, if you have the key tied to the member, then you'd need a super key, otherwise a thread/post key would do.

Labels can be added to threads - they don't need them added to posts. (Mostly because I don't want to have to look all over the place for a label on a post to insure it's "proper"). Yes - if they change the label's name, it should change everywhere that name was used - much like if the name was changed with the built-in label system. As far as the key goes, I don't know. I do know that I need to restrict it so only certain members can actually make labels and apply them in certain boards. That being said, I'll defer to your knowledge on which one would be better. I do have room for a super key, if that's what will be needed. I really don't get keys at all - as it being obvious by me not having a leaderboard out yet for Scavenger Hunt.

I'm interested in this too! I like the option to choose if members are allowed to make their own or not. I'm fine with a super key too. How does that work though - as in are certain labels used by certain member groups, can all members make their own, etc? I'm a bit confused. Is it possible to have some limited to certain categories? I have in-character RP boards and out-of-character member boards - they'd use very different labels. Just my thoughts, but either way I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out because it's gonna be sooo useful however you decide to make it

A Super User key is accessible by all, so no matter who is looking at a page on your forum, if there's a link to a member's profile on that page, then any Super user keys data is accessible.
A Private User key is only accessible by the user concerned.
So, in order to have the labels seen by everyone, a Super User key will have to be used.. IF the key is to be tied to the member. That is, if said member changes location, then all their labels across your entire forum would show the new location.
If, on the other hand, a thread/post key is used, it would be accessible by all, and is NOT a super key. BUT, any key would be tied to that thread/post. So, if a member changes their location, only posts/threads made after they update their location would be current. All previous posts/threads would still show the old data.
Tying a key to a member group is not easy. It would also require a Super FORUM key.

SafeInSanity Lynx Water CrystalsCan you please try this and let me know how it goes.. You can change your label from within your profile page, in the 'Settings' tab, you should have an extra option called 'Personal Label'. And you can add or remove a label while creating a thread or editing the first post of a thread. You will also need to select which board(s) you want the plugin to work on.

I've added the plugin to my Haydee Game forum (which uses a vanilla theme except for the background image) and when I click the Add Label on the Create Thread page or Edit page, it doesn't seem to do anything and I see no label applied. I have insured that the plugin has the boards listed, I've added a label (BloodRayne) to my Edit Profile > Settings page (I saved the label with its Save button as well as Saved my Account settings). Here's my settings: PROFILE: PLUGIN: Board tested on: haydeegame.boards.net/board/13/general-haydee-discussion

I think I found the issue.. I had two functions of the same name. For some reason FF worked but other browsers didn't.. Can you please try this version (0.0.2)..
