Using small images in Topic Titles

How can I use small images in my topic titles?

I would suggest using Wormo's plugin to achieve this:

Thank you.  I appreciate your help.  I was kind of waiting to see if there is another way.  I downloaded this and it seems complicated.  I don't know what to do with it.

Do you have very specific, unique images you intend to use or are you wanting the capacity for images in general?

If it’s the latter, have you considered just using emoji? The image set is sizable and they should render in some capacity for anyone using a fully updated version of Windows 7 or newer, OS X 10.7 or newer, and pretty much every smartphone or tablet still in use today (iOS 5/Android 4.3 or newer; though, older platforms tend to have smaller character sets). So basically everyone of consequence.

This is by far the simplest solution, but it isn’t customizable (until v6, assuming the custom emoji feature will apply to thread titles).

Thank you, Derek.  I really appreciate that.  I have found I can use alt codes in topic titles.  I will try the emoji codes and see if that works.  You are right.  There are a lot of those.

I have tried the emojis and they do not work in topic titles.  I'm excited and ready for V6 to make its grand entrance.  I wonder when we will ever get a sneak peek at what it looks like?  Guess I get a little antsy about having to learn everything all over again.  Sure am glad ProBoards has such a terrific support team.

Just looked.  Looks like still a long way to go on V6.

Hmm. That’s peculiar. A quick search through threads on here that I know contained emojis in the title shows that they’ve all been replaced with question marks. The same for existing posts, as well.

However, I was still able to create a test thread in GT (deleted) just now and use various emoji in the title and post body.

This was in Safari on iOS 11.4, for what it’s worth.

Thanks for the info, Derek.   I am using Windows 10 and the latest edition of Chrome.   I'm just going to wait for V6 and hope I can do it there.  In the meantime, I will just use alt codes.  I appreciate your help.   

Any idea when we can get a look at V6?

Thank you, Brian.  I took a look a look at V6 progress.  Am looking forward to its release.

Nice board, misscharlotte, and thank you.  Think I am just going to wait for V6 to launch.  So far, I am liking my alt codes.  They do a good job of identifying like topics and are attractive and unobtrusive.  Thank you for your help.

I think another quick way we used to do it back in the old days, was to use your censored word section from your admin panel. 

Oh my it's late. Still, if what you are doing is work fine that's cool. At least you have options to choose from. Can't wait until v6. Oh yeah, thanks and also, you're welcome.
