Did proboards get DDOS'ed or was it just maitenance?

Was working on my forum earlier and went to send a mass email and got a cloud flare error. I was not sure if proboards was doing maintenance or if you guys got hit with DDOS? Does that ever happen? Either way it appears to be back up now and I think I should be ok to click the send email button. Here is some pics with the error codes

Total downtime was less than an hour. I'm not sure how you experienced issues outside of that.

Any clue who is behind the DDOS? Not sure how the landscape has changed in regards to DDOS attacks over the years but it is sad to see it still being used against people/companies and services.

What would prompt such a large DDOS attack anyway? That must have taken a rather large bot net... Curious who is salty.

In all seriousness weareallone the identity of the source of any DDOS attacks isn't usually disclosed publicly as it's only relevant to our systems team since they're responsible for identifying and blocking it. And that's assuming the source is a notable entity to begin with.
