Hi, Tim. I'm not sure which text you're referring to, but since green isn't one of the default theme colors I'm assuming you know which section you're trying to change the text color of. You can click on any section that has the icon to bring up the color picker. You can select a color from the vertical color bar and adjust its brightness in the square to the left.

You can click on any section that has the icon to bring up the color picker. You can select a color from the vertical color bar and adjust its brightness in the square to the left. That is definitely the preferred way to get to exactly the color one would want. The cheap and dirty way would be to just preface the color name with light or dark. In BBCode, this: [font size="7"][b][font color="lightgreen"]lightgreen[/font] [font color="green"]green[/font] [font color="darkgreen"]darkgreen[/font][/b][/font]
Results in this: lightgreen green darkgreenNote: I chose to make the text huge because otherwise it's very difficult to discern the difference between green and darkgreen

Tim, have you taken the time to look through the Visual Editor? Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS, Visual Editor. There is a break down of the different components of the forum along with a preview pane (to the right or below - depending on your screen size). The Visual Editor makes it easy to customize your forum's look without having to know or be proficient in CSS. Note: what ever part of the forum is shown in the preview pane will correspond to the solid sections/items list on the left (or top if the preview is below). The areas that are grayed out can still be selected and modified. Hope this helps! Also our Help Guide articles are a great resource for learning more about your forum and customization.

Additionally, your initial post contained basically no information other than the basic request to alter text color. Since no specifics were provided, you received a generic response. If you already knew what text you wanted changed, you should have included that in your initial post.
Spending the time to correctly write out a post saves you time and saves us and volunteers time by not writing up a post that doesn't actually address your question.
