Forum URL: bonabandwagon.proboards.com/board/2/general-boardSo I run a sports forum for the college I attended, and every now and then we get some spammers who cause fights and get banned. Issue is, its hard to tell if they make a new account with a different IP address, to tell if its really a new user, or them under a new name. I was wondering if there was any way to update the requirements to make a new account, that way they are forced to answer questions as to who they are, how they knew of the forum, etc before I just accept a random name. Is any of this possible, if so please direct me to how I can change this! Thanks!

Hi, Bonas08. If you turn on the Restrict Registration feature in Settings > Forum Settings > Login & Registration you can add a Restricted Registration Message specifying what information they need to provide alongside their registration before you approve their account. Turning on the Allow Request Message option will add a field after registration that enables them to type this information. You can view the information they submit via the View link shown under the Request column in Members > Pending Registrations.
