Forum URL: (private)
Since the other thread is closed. We are having this issue and users report that the ad completely, immediately covers their screen as soon as they log on so that they can't report (they say it happens on mobile and they have to use desktop to post this complaint, before anyone asks how they can post about it).
ETA: well, some of them...I reiterated about the tool to others.

I have had several member complain about the "Amazon" redirect, and experienced it this morning for myself. It didn't seem like you could do anything but exit it.
I would appreciate it if someone could offer instructions on what I should tell my board members?
Thank you. And please accept my apologies for asking a question in a older related post in an effort to find the proper solution.

Hi, becca2000. I'll have someone check the automatic reports shortly for any new redirects. If you can provide any information about what devices and web browsers the redirects were experienced in that should also help us narrow down the responsible ad. I would appreciate it if someone could offer instructions on what I should tell my board members? Just wanted to expand on what I posted in the other thread a bit for you: Automatic redirects should be automatically reported to us by the new tool, but for everything else we request that you use the Ad Report tool as that sends the advertiser's information directly to us. Normally you can report any advertisements that violate our ad policies by clicking on the Report Ad link found at the bottom of any ProBoards forums that display ads. In the case of redirects you're taken away from the page, making it impossible to report the ad manually. For that reason our ad system detects if an ad that was shown to a user behaved in this manner and automatically reports it to us without any further action on your part.

Okay that's what I thought but just wanted to make sure there wasn't something else I should be doing. Thank you.

becca2000: We've contacted the ad provider that serves the ad in question and requested that the network it originates from be disabled. This should hopefully stop the trend of new redirects appearing from that particular source. This will require action on the part of the ad provider so there may be a delay before the ad ceases appearing.

Brian Thank you! ETA: sorry, I missed where you asked for more info, but a user was able to report it so hopefully that helped.

I saw a report from a device on iOS that cited the forum URL you provided so we were able to make a determination from there. Our ad provider got back to us letting us know that they've fulfilled our request. The network the ad originated from should no longer be serving ads.
