CNAME help (method 1. CNAME for sub domain)

Hi Brian - you guys didn't turn off our custom domain redirects did you?

The reason I'm asking is I accessed our forum through the original url, logged in and it let me stay. While the custom domain redirect was in place I would not have been able to do this right?

I'm hoping this was just an anomaly and things will be going back to normal soon.

OK thanks Brian. It's kind of a bummer - it has taken me over a year to wean a bunch of old timers off the old URL - I have no idea how they've all stayed logged in continuously for so long but now they get to start over haha.

I can change that for you ahead of the script changing it, but I have no idea what forum this is for.

You can add the forum using the private forum URL on top of the page (near the thread title) so all of our staff can access it and help you, or send a PM to me. It's hard to help without knowing this information.

Actually it appears that the script might have already caught it and changed it back, if I found the right one.

Bluehost won't let me create a host record named forum for CNAME. Do I need to delete all the A records first maybe?

I deleted all the A names and was able to create a CNAME for forum. Should be all I need right? Give it to take and should be back on-line with forum.f-106deltadart.com ?
