Forum URL: (private)
I signed up to a forum a few months ago (different forum to the URL above "Forum A"). Two days ago, I created a forum "Forum B". When I created it, somehow it was using my user details for Forum A, even though I thought I was logged out. Then I managed to separate the two emails/accounts (User A and User B). I was having difficulty logging back into Forum A with User A, it kept bouncing me out. Now I cannot log into Forum A as User A at all. For a while, both accounts were showing on the dashboard, attached to their rightful forum.
At some point, the login screen insisted that User A no longer existed, and I created it again, but not linked to Forum A.
Within the last 24 hours, I now cannot get back into the forum I created (Forum B) as User B - a similar thing happened, it would not recognise User B, and I recreated it.
I believe I am logged into User B, but with username of User A.
All throughout the process of trying to log in with the various accounts, I kept getting a series of strange log in messages, some of them said "success you have logged in" others said supply the forum user name (which did not work).
I created these two separate entities, because I wanted a secure account for the admin of Forum B.
Now the entire thing is a mess. I cannot sort it out from my end at all - and it seems very hard to get to the dashboard.

Hi, lasquirrel. So long as you're logged into your global account you should be able to access your dashboard at any time by navigating to the ProBoards.com homepage. The forum you linked privately is tied to your global account so there should be no issues when attempting to log into it. We wouldn't be able to diagnose any issues with other forums without knowing the links to those forums.

Thanks Brian. On the server side of things, my global account now seems to Email B login & pw, but Username A(!) I just tried logging into both Forum A and Forum B (using this Email B and Username A) and it worked on both ones - but this did not work a few hours ago , I could not get into either forum, or even post here without it requesting further usernames etc (bouncing me around in circles). So somehow it has resolved itself into a hybrid account of sorts. Now that the global account seems to have stabilised, I can see what is going on, rather than the bunch of confusing error messages I had been getting over the last 12-16 hours or so. I still don't get why I got the 'username/email does not exist messages' or why I was seemingly able to recreate 'both' accounts from scratch, or why they did behave as two separate Global/User accounts with separate emails and logins for the first day. Just to confirm though, Global A / User A was reinstated with its old post counts. So even though I got 'account does not exist' and recreated them, it actually remembered, and were not new account creations at all. However, I wanted a totally separate account for the admin of Forum B (a super secure one, and not connected to anything else), for the security of Forum B. With the status as it is, it looks like I could revert this current Username A back to Email A and new pw, and still get into Forum A. But what can I do with regards the admin on Forum B? I want to delink Forum B from Global A (and have a Global B), but obviously need admin on Forum B to work. Is there some way that tech support could help at the back end to separate these accounts? Obviously I cannot specify email addresses + forum links here, but happy to do so over email. Really sorry if I sound a bit loopy, I do normally have a bit more sanity than this! I blame the crazy error messages And now I am too scared to touch anything for fear of "breaking the internet" ( IT Crowd reference).

If you unlink a forum account from your global account and then log out of your global account you should be prompted to link the forum account to a new global account when attempting to log into the unlinked forum account.
You can unlink a forum account via your global account settings on the ProBoards.com homepage.

Great, thanks Brian - I think that sounds like it will do it. I suspect that I was probably still logged into the global account (or the forum account) which is how everything got mucked up. Thanks again for your help.
