Hello there. I recently bought a Gigabyte AMD Ryzen 5 motherboard.
I installed Ubuntu onto the hardware.
One of the strange things that is happening with it lately is that the USB-connected keyboard works during the boot up period but not after the computer logs itself into my account.
When the boot menu displaying which keys to press to get into the BIOS settings, I can click the right key and it works fine. I can use the keyboard to navigate through the Gigabyte BIOS settings perfectly.
But when I Save and Exit from the BIOS settings and it logs into my account, from then on the hardware doesn't pick up on the keyboard and I am stuck.
What's even stranger is that if I let the computer log into my account WITHOUT my USB keyboard connected and then connect the USB after it has logged in it picks it up and I can use my keyboard and mouse from then on.
Could it be that I need to somehow change the settings so that the hardware detects the keyboard first before going into my account? Or is there something else? Any help will be more than appreciated.
