We are a forum sharing ROIO [Recordings Of Independent Origin]. Just Wondering, to stop leeching, is there a way of implementing a share ratio policy?. Please explain in simple terms, as i have had 2 strokes and i do find things hard to follow sometimes. We would also like to hide links until a member replies to a post. We used to use [reply] [/reply] code..does this work on proboards?. Thanks in advance

Hi, lordyfan. Just Wondering, to stop leeching, is there a way of implementing a share ratio policy? Can you explain what this means? We would also like to hide links until a member replies to a post. We used to use [reply] [/reply] code..does this work on proboards? We do not offer a feature like this. Sorry. Even if a plugin existed to perform this duty the links would still be visible if a user right-clicked the page and viewed its source.

Hi, lordyfan . Just Wondering, to stop leeching, is there a way of implementing a share ratio policy? Can you explain what this means? He wants to stop smash & grab merchants by the looks of it. Leeching is when someone just downloads without sharing back & the ratio would be an indicator of what has been shared back into the community. If you use a site like dimeadozen, there is a policy that states members must have at least a 0.25 share ratio (25%) before they can leech (download). lordyfan. The only way I have seen this work is to use bespoke torrent tracker software (assuming you're talking P2P sharing) and somehow bolt the forum onto that.
