Forum URL: pandce.proboards.com/thread/616979/primary-chatter-nh-week?page=10There is an ad or something doing a bad redirect to scam website trying to claim windows needs updating/fixed or else everything is going to deleted. [ moved links so only staff can see them ] I've hit it twice tonight going to the thread linked in the Forum URL. Malwarebytes says my PC is fine. ETA screenshots (sorry, can't kill the hyperlinks) Attachments:

Hi Thanks for the report. Any ad which redirects should be automatically detected and be checked for removal, so hopefully they have already been removed from rotation. If you continue to get redirects, please let us know, and apologies for the inconvenience caused. Craig

nonny, thank you for reporting this. Just so you know however, we do not need the link(s) of where you are being directed to as this does not provide the information we need as there is no way to trace back to the ad that causes the redirect. The information that does help is: - the country you are in - your OS (Mac, Windows, Android, etc.) - the browser you are using Since redirects usually targets users in a certain region, or using a particular device, or browser - having this information allows us to filter through reports and zero in on the ad that is the culprit.

Craig , the sound was startling, but otherwise everything was fine once I closed the tabs. We've had issues on our board in the past where the filters didn't always catch the bad redirects so I thought I'd better report it just in case after I hit it a second time. I'm not seeing it today though. All the ads being served up seem different today that last night. Scott , I'll try to remember that for next time. I can never remember the info you want since this really only happens maybe 1-2 a year. Thanks!

Forgot to mention this has been an ongoing issue for at least 2 weeks now. It's also happening multiple times every time I go to my board. It's making the board pretty unusable.

Hi bigdwsuAs this thread was resolved, it would have been marked by the staff as having been resolved. So even if the problem you are having is identical to someone else, we do ask for people to create their own thread. Also adverts that redirect are automatically detected and removed by the system, if it continues, post back in a new thread.
