Forum URL: (private)
I just sent an email to all our users only to find that a bunch of words ran together due to missing spaces.
Sample text:
That last bit is a real problem, because it messed up the URL. There shouldn't be an "at" at the front. Two of the three URLs in this message got messed up, making the email nearly useless and extremely unprofessional.
Is there any way to prevent this from happening again? I'd hate to send another mailing that did the same.

Did you type the message directly in to the email textarea [ ie not copy and paste ], or is there an extension in the browser which may have interfered? I will tag the ProBoards staff in to this as they will be able to check things on ProBoards end.

Hi Craig,
Yes, I did draft the message in Gmail and copied out of the editor (not from a sent email). This worked without any problem previously. I also reviewed the message in the ProBoards editor before hitting send.

richenda, there could still be hidden formatting that carries over from the Gmail draft. If you wish to create a draft I would recommend using a program like Notepad.

Thanks, Scott. Not ideal, but I'll do that in future.

Do you have the option to Paste as Plain Text on your menu when you right click. That should hopefully remove any hidden formatting gmail had added to the text.
