Forum URL: theshow420.proboards.com/I was messing around with Visual Editor of my page and did something that shifted certain content to the left. I can not remember what I did and was wondering how I fix it? An example would be my team page, "Chicago Cubs," on the site. The banner on top of the page and the text is not centered like it was but shifted to the left and appears smaller. My team page theshow420.proboards.com/thread/108/chicago-cubsThank you

Hi jonboycubsThe ProBoards Admins will be in their office in a few hours. Their hours can be found here: linkMere mortals like me can't view your forum, as you have it set to "Guests Must Login". But that won't pose a problem for the Reds.

Hi jonboycubs The ProBoards Admins will be in their office in a few hours. Their hours can be found here: linkMere mortals like me can't view your forum, as you have it set to "Guests Must Login". But that won't pose a problem for the Reds. Thanks. I turned off the guests must log in. I have messed a couple things up it seems. The reply box in the shout box has know all turned the color of the background image. Where you enter the actual text used to be the main color of of the shoutbox. It would seem I am a step down from mere and am a stupid mortal...

Just a thought, when I am making changes such as you did I first make a screen shot and past it in Microsoft word so I have a reference to go back to to put things back the way they were.

An example would be my team page, "Chicago Cubs," on the site. The banner on top of the page and the text is not centered like it was but shifted to the left and appears smaller. If you're referring to the text: The Show '20 in the banner region, that should respond to the Visual Editor, unless you've made some modifications directly to the Style Sheet. From your Admin panel, navigate: Admin Home> Themes> Advanced Styles & CSS and remain on the Visual Editor tab. Click on Header (Top), that section will expand. Click on Forum Banner, that section will expand. Click on Banner Text, that section will expand. Use the dropdown to the right of Text Align to shift the text to the left, right, or center. Rather than using the dropdown to the right of Font Size to select a named value, you might want to enter the size in pixels, for instance: 50px. When you get things looking right, be sure to hit the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page or the Save Theme button near the top of the page. I have messed a couple things up it seems. The reply box in the shout box has know all turned the color of the background image. Where you enter the actual text used to be the main color of of the shoutbox. No worries, let's see how you do with the banner, then move on from there. The Reds might need to help you with the textarea for the shoutbox. That doesn't show for guests and you probably don't want to change the settings.

jonboycubs , Go to Admin > Themes > Advanced Styles & CSS, Style Sheet tab. Scroll to the very bottom and add this on a new line and save changes. .shoutbox_form textarea { background-color: #f3f2e1; } This should fix your shoutbox issue. I'm still looking at your other issue.

And are you sure you stayed on the Visual Editor tab, or did you also click on the Style Sheet tab?

Scott No, I did not go into the Style Sheet. I was in the Visual Editor and I was just tinkering with the settings to try and make the page look better. I would change a setting and then go and look to see what it had done so I would know where I was at and how to change back. Plus this helps me learn how to do it myself better. However, I did not notice the change to the text until after I had been out of the Visual Editor long enough that I do not remember where I was. I went back and looked and tried to figure it out but in doing so I just created a storm and now I am noticing all sorts of little things that are off with no clue how to fix it. So I have just stopped tinkering and came here to ask you all to bail me out of my mistakes. I wish I could be more help. I appreciate what you have done so far!

jonboycubs, actually it looks like it's the Post Notes It plugin causing the issue. Try disabling that and see if that fixes the issue for you.

Sorry I did not mention the plugins I was checking out as I did not think that would be it at all. I appreciate very much you helping me with this!
