We have experienced the same redirects. There are a great many images on our forum that are hosted on the imgbb site. What we have found works is to have an ad blocker enabled for imgbb.com.
Yes, thanks, that did help a lot
However it hides the issue rather than fixing it and some of those without ad blocker have had their device infected

VanWoman84 , I also tried it, and the button showed up, but after clicking it and uploading an image no code was embedded in my post. Did it work completely for you? try to move it to the beginning of the header I moved that script to the top of the global header, but still nothing shows up after the successful upload. I used the exact script posted by ?adwoman? . We REALLY need to find a replacement for imgbb, as our forum is image-intensive. I assume some BBCode is returned after the upload completes, yes? What in the script captures it and deposits it in the body of the post?
Here is a screen capture of what I see:
After I click the Upload button it all seems to go well, but then there is no change in the post I am creating.

You are correct of course about it hiding the issue, not fixing it. For us there is no "fix" as a great many images are hosted on imgbb. They can be safely viewed if an adblocker is in place.
You said some of your members have been infected; did they really have something show up on their device, or were they simply redirected someplace they didn't wish to visit?

Did it work completely for you? try to move it to the beginning of the header ?adwoman? , I've witnessed a lot of clutter and confusion on various threads where you or VanWoman84 have suggested this script as a solution, then other members who have nothing to do with the original issue, complain about this script not working. Have you thoroughly tested this? The page on the imgzb site where this script is available lists the platforms they support, when you click on the words 'supported software'. ProBoards is not on that list. I have personally tested it. ... on a forum using a default proboards theme, with NO plugins, with NO other items in any Header or Footer, with three different browsers will all browser extensions disabled. This script will not place the BBCode into the textarea when used on the posting page. It will only do that on the Quick Reply. Since it does present the Upload Images button on the posting page, where it doesn't function properly, this will cause an extreme level of confusion and frustration to anyone who tries to use it there. Until such time as they re-write their script to make this function on a ProBoards posting page, I believe it is a disservice to the community to recommend using this script.

Thank you for doing that and reporting back Retread . Yes, it certainly did cause me confusion and frustration. Hopefully it can be reworked so it functions on Proboards.

I guess I don't want to lose sight of this aspect, that it DOES work in the Quick Reply. Why is that? What is the difference that needs to be addressed so that it does work in the regular Reply box?

tpgettys, while I appreciate your desire for more information about that script, this thread is definitely not the place to discuss that. We should remain focused on the problems stated by Techo as he is the threadstarter. Suggesting proven solutions is appropriate. Trying to resolve technical problems with third-party coding which doesn't currently work is not. In answer to both of your questions ... I don't know.

Sorry I hadn't tried the upload button in the full reply, as I usually use the quick reply. Just trying to help!

I have had similar experiences with that site, the other alternative i know of is the Free Image Upload website, they do not allow any adult images to be hosted on their servers. This may be a worthy alternative to free image hosting, i also think they have a plugin somewhere that can be used for image upload.

On the Support Board, it's generally a bad idea to reply to threads older than 30 days, even if the issue has not been resolved. That's considered ' necroposting". The 'plugin' (external script which can be placed in the Global Header) which that resource provides on their site suffers from the same problem as the imgzb plugin which was suggested earlier in this thread. It provides upload buttons for both the Quick Reply and Full Reply. It will place the BBCode for the uploaded image into the textarea of the Quick Reply. But it will not place the BBCode for the uploaded image into the textarea of the Full Reply.
