So unfortunately I can no longer replicate the issue on your forum, and as you mentioned it similarly doesn't occur for me here on Support.
The only things I can suggest are: - make sure you are using a SUPPORTED browser (chrome, firefox, safari, or their mobile equivalents) - make sure you do not have an adblocker enabled (this is already against ProBoards TOS, but adblock is known to interfere with viglink stuff)
Beyond that, it doesn't appear to be a problem specifically with the links or your forum (because, for clarity, all forums are identical unless you intentionally add plugins or change the HTML. it doesn't appear you have done so, so then that forum and this forum are technically the same).
Have you reached out to the file hosts, whomever they are, about your issue? The link does belong to them, so it's possible (though unlikely, since others can access the links from your forum) they've put some protocols in place to prevent downloads or display that error.

Hi,
While I think Kami's suggestions above are great and very possible solutions, I also wanted to add that I am still communicating back and forth with Viglink support concerning this. We have not been able to replicate any issue yet but we are still investigating.

Thank You all.
The problem can't be with the links and it can't be a problem with browsers, cause if I hit the links here in this support forum, they work! These links are only an address! I put that address here as a link and it goes good. I put the same address in a browser and it works...
I put the address as a link in my Forum and it doesn't work.
If the Foruns are equal, why they don't work in the same way with the links...
As I said before, if you can't see the problem, you can't help me... You have to find someone in your help team or find a way to see the problem, and then try to help... I lost many hours making tests and there is no way to get the links working right... But for all time of my forum they worked. Problem started a few months ago. Other users notice the problem too.. It must be something with VIGLINK. I think it can't another thing cause the addresses appearing with VIGLINK word...
Thank You.

But for all time of my forum they worked. Problem started a few months ago. Other users notice the problem too.. It must be something with VIGLINK. I think it can't another thing cause the addresses appearing with VIGLINK word... Thank You. I get your frustration, but I want to address a few things. 1. You seem to be under the impression that all we have to do is "find a way to see the problem". That's exactly what we have been trying to do. The problem is, that so far we haven't been able to. There is a limitation to technology and diagnosing errors in that if the people attempting to fix the issue cannot directly reproduce the issue themselves then they have very little way of finding out the cause. Does this make sense? If your car is broken, but every time a mechanic looks at it things work perfectly, it is going to be very difficult for them to fix because without seeing the problem they cannot easily find the source of the problem. The same is true here. Don't mistake the lack of results for a lack of action. 2. It is also possible for the links to be the problem. It's unlikely, but possible. The person who owns the link has control over how it is accessed. It's not very likely in this case, but the probability is not zero. It's always worth asking to eliminate this as a potential cause, which will help with issue #1 because it will be one less thing they have to test. 3. When I say "all forums are identical" I mean that at the core of it forum A is the same as forum B because they are made with the same software. There might be things on individual forums that present problems based on how a lot of the moving parts interact (which is why Michael is still working with Viglink on trying to diagnose the issue) but because of the shared software it's always a good idea to eliminate all user-end issues first. At the end of the day all anyone can ask for is your continued patience. You just need to understand that the problem here isn't a lack of help, and it's just not as easy as "find someone that gets the error too". If it were that easy, Michael would have done it already.

Helder Lopes, Unless I missed it, there is something I have not seen asked yet: Have you tried in an Incognito/Private window to see if the issue persists? I tried all 3 links on your forum with left click, no refresh - and all worked fine for me ... even after waiting for about 10 seconds before making the first click. You may have a browser extension/add-on that may be interfering. Also, are all of the browsers you've tried up-to-date?

Hi there. I know you are making efforts to solve the issue... Kami I understand all of you said... I'm an electronics engenieer by the way... My functions are with car electronics and computers too, as they are connected on modern cars. The links are updates to navigation systems and are official. They are clean and doesn't have limitations... You copy and past the links in any browser and the download is clean and direct... When i said to find some way to see the problem is because I know, if I have a car to fix and I can't see anyting wrong, firstly I need to find a way to cause the issue. So then I be able to search the problem... But I understand the limitations envolved... I got the idea you get the issue when your first help, and thats why you found the middle button trick. I stayed wondering why middle button opens the download... And I know why! When you hit the links with middle button, or in all other links on a browser, you are making the links are open in a new window... So, if the link is a download, and you open it in a new window directly, basically the new window opens and closes right away and doesn't load a page, cause is only a download and not a page... It's like refresh a page and click fast on a link... All is understood... Thank you once again.

Lynx thank you for the idea... I had not tested the private window... But now I tried with various browsers and the issue is the same... The 3 links are from same server, but I have much more links like these and other different servers, and the issue is the same. If the issue is there, all direct downloads doesn't work. My browsers are updated. I downloaded various new browsers and nothing to add. Same issue. Is strange. Various browsers, various computers, various locations, various internet operators... But I discovered more about the issue. If I put the mouse over one link and stay there, then hit the F5 to refresh the page, when the page loads, there are very additional things the page loads at the same time... In slowmotion during various F5 refreshes, we can see: (A aguardar por = waiting for) waiting for s.tribalfusion.com... waiting for peugeotclubeportugal.proboards.com... waiting for as-sec.casalmedia.com... waiting for ib.adnxs.com... waiting for ap.lijit.com... waiting for ad-server.proboards.com... waiting for hbopenbid.pubmatic.com... waiting for storage.proboards.com... waiting for fastlane.rubiconproject.com... youtu.be/YyQ8xNE0qD8Some addresses are from Proboards... Other I don't know, but searched on the net, some can be virus or malware on PC, etc... I did a total scan with antivirus and malwarebytes, but nothing found... It can't be a virus in my PC cause much more members and different devices have the problem. From what I can see, is something about my forum. I can't be another thing... thank you.

Hi,
The items you've listed out are various ad-server related links.
Viglink has reported back to me that the links should no routed through Viglink. How are things for you now?

Hi,
Viglink is no longer at all associated with the link, I don't get Viglink text, redirect, or anything of the sort. Have you tried clearing your cache and trying again?
With Viglink disabled there, we've run out of things to test and change.

Yes I did clean the cache... Same issue. My PC is configured to clean the cache and cookies when the browser is closed. Allways loads refreshed pages. Now I tried in a new computer formated from scratch and tested with windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8... It worked! But as you know the IE 8 is updated to IE11 automatically with windows updates... When it updated to IE11 the issues started again. I tested again in another computer with new version of Edge browser in Windows10 and the issue still remains. A few days ago I tested in IE7 on a computer running Windows XP and worked fine too. I put another link in the test links thread in my forum. In this case, the downloads doesn't starts but you are direct to TOMTOM site. If you put the link in the browser, it goes direct to the download. peugeotclubeportugal.proboards.com/thread/2308/testing-linksWhen I enter the page, EDGE Browser detects this when I clear data and refresh the page: Privacy and services / Blocked trackers Tracking prevention blocked 16 trackers Clear data Site Times blocked Google 5 AppNexus 3 VigLink 2 Casale Media 1 Exponential Interactive 1 Federated Media 1 Moat 1 PubMatic 1 RubiconProject 1 This only can be something with the Forum... VIGLINK still present! Thank You

Hi,
Have you tried with another browser? We went in and disabled Viglinks association with that link completely.
You will still see Viglink on your forum.
