Limit number of youtube clips in a single post

Hi all,

I'm looking at the possibility of a plugin that will enable me to limit the number of youtube clips a member can place in a single post. Is this possible and many thanks in advance.

What would you expect to happen if the limit is reached? Should it display an error before posting, or just not show any more than X number of embeds once the post has been made?

Maybewhen a user clicks the "Insert Video" button, and the pop up box opens, where it says "Insert Video" at the top, have it say (max 5 clips). Then if they click on the Insert Video button a 6th time, they get a warning saying maximum of 5 video clips per post reached.

Something along those lines?

This plugin uses the built-in form validation system to prevent users from posting more than the specified amount of videos in a single post. It will also hide videos beyond the specified limit in preexisting posts until they've been edited.

Hi Chris

I've just tried the plugin on my forum but can't get it to work.
I've set the max to 5 and it is applied to all themes.

I have gone back to preexisting posts and they still have more than 5 videos in the post and when I try to create a test post, I am able to place more than 5 videos in the post without seeing any error.

Is it something I'm not doing my end?

Suddenly I am getting the warningon posts that do not contain any videos. The warning appears when I click on the create post button and is obscuring the Preview & BBCode buttons to the left. It will not let me post at all so I have temporarily disabled it.

In that case not much can be done in terms of diagnosis.

I had to disable it temporarily as no members could post. If it helps diagnosis I can reenable it for a while?

v0.1.0 - [bug]changed fallback 0 to a zero length array in check_youtube_limit which was flagging posts with 0 detected videos, [feature]added optional placeholders for selective reenabling of disabled videos,[bug]addressed hierarchy loophole which caused videos nested in deeper levels to escape the CSS rule

That seems to work great Chris .

Just a couple of questions. Where the placeholders show, alongisde one of them is a #202. Any idea what that is? I noticed it happened in your post above too. Also, when and where will the error message be displayed as I didn't see it when doing a test post?
