Hi,
Could you be more specific? Is it member searches? Post searches?
I receive results when I search.

Hi, Could you be more specific? Is it member searches? Post searches? I receive results when I search. Both the general search and searches from a user's profile as far as I've checked it. I've only been doing a search for threads. For instance, I cannot find a thread with a specific word in the title though I can see it exists.

bartlesby, may I ask which thread, and the search word you are using?

bartlesby , may I ask which thread, and the search word you are using? Certainly. I was asked to find a thread by another user "thekindercarebear" which has "owner" in the title, as he could not find it using the search. So I checked his recent threads list and used the search bar located in the upper right using that word. The thread is there on the first page of recent thread results in his profile but no results show up when searching, no matter the word used to search. Another user has also mentioned the search is not working but I have not checked into his particular circumstances.

I think its very odd that only this forum seems to still have a reoccurring issue at this point. We'll look into it further.
Check it in about 15 minutes and let me know if its better.

Honestly, I suspect it was due to a piece of script I once had in place that would extend the length of thread titles that has somehow gunked up the works. There's a "maxlength" attribute in the field where you enter a thread title to post to the server which is set to 65 but which can be increased to 100 and retain the extra characters. It may be having effects on how threads are indexed but I can only speculate. That's the only reason I can think might have caused our problems.

We would only index the allowed characters, so if the issues are at the end of thread subjects then that would definitely be related. Glad its working again now.
