Image posting, image to large

I tried to post a photo but got an error message "file too big". Has anyone any simple instructions how to reduce the file size and post, thanks.

You might first try an image optimizer. If that doesn't work, then the next option would be to edit the image by reducing the dimensions (and possibly resolution) with an image editor.
