Do you mean the way things appear on Reddit?

I'm assuming you mean this rather old school sort of layout? There's no way to attain this look currently in ProBoards as far as I know, and I'm not sure that it would be possible so I'll leave that for someone else to answer. If this is what you mean I'd personally I'd advise against it from experience. I suspect most forums moved away from this look around the turn of the millenium for usability reasons and everyone I know - even those who were around in the BBS days when this was common - has always preferred the now standard kind of forum layout that ProBoards uses. I believe ProBoards actually used this kind of layout when it first started, although again happy to be corrected!

Thanks for the answers. Yes, I was talking about the "old school" layout. Most of the people on my forum are old school and we just recently moved here after our old forum site closed. I was asking because so many of the members are seniors and always like the threaded view so they didn't have to open every thread or use the quote to reply to a specific person. It will take some time to adjust but hopefully we will get there. Thanks for all of your responses.

Someone else might be able to confirm whether it's possible, but I've never seen it attempted in all my years here so something tells me it might not be.
