I have a bad habit of eating and snacking ten times a day. It's bad stuff like nonstop tacos and ice cream. I need to eat better stat.

Since the pandemic made me unemployed, I've been snacking too much, as well. My husband works at a store that sells snacks, and when they're on sale he brings them home. We need to start buying healthier things to snack on, such as fruit, veggies, pretzels, etc. If it's not in the house, we're not going to eat it, right?

I am getting better at it. Ironically, one of my kids is the reason we eat healthier. More fresh fruit and vegetables in the house because he loves them. Makes it easier on us to eat them too.

Not the best at self control here, but I have managed to get away from eating chocolate all the time. Now I just have to work on energy drinks. I suggest trying to just resisting the instant grab need. The more often you resist grabbing something to eat, the easier it is to not have it.

All I can say is use some self-discipline, I stopped smoking over 2 years ago and I did not use any deterrents like Nicotine Patches, tablets, chewing gum etc but just said to myself "That's it..."
We were going to a funeral 3 weeks ago and I tried my suit pants on and they would not fit me so I gathered I had put on weight which I had when I weighed myself and then said "That's it, time to lose weight...", self-discipline kicked in again and I cut down on my calories and certain food and I have lost 6lb in 3 weeks.

While I agree that self-discipline is a powerful method, it's not right for everyone. I would recommend taking things one step at a time, but also it's worth doing some research. Find out why you're snacking so often - normally, there's a psychological element. Such as stress or anxiety.
It think hearing various methods and opinions can help you figure out what sort of things you're open to and may be able to do, but please don't trust us on these as our experiences are different and again some things that work for others might not for you. Losing weight is one thing, but making the lifestyle choices in order to then keep the weight off - that's the hardest part. Talk to your doctor first, and remember that anything which promises fast or easy results is a scam.
One piece of advice I do have for it though would be to start with moderation - decrease how much your eating before you tackle what you're eating. Also, drink a lot of water; often dehydration is confused for hunger / food cravings. If you're not sure, drink a glass of water then wait 20 minutes. If you still crave something after that, it's probably hunger. Stress is the worst factor, and seeing / having easy reach to snacks.

I like Water Crystals advice. I'm into finding out Why we do things 'cos only then can we get a handle on something. What helps is to not keep junk in the house but rather real food like fruits & veggies. We tend to overeat junk food, it's rare we overeat fruits! Keep yourself occupied, clean house, get a new hobby, if you have a partner, kids or pets, spend extra time w/ them. Spend extra time on Yourself! Have a spa day at home, take a nice bath & read, go for a walk, whatever interests you. Pamper yourself. Most of all, be gentle on yourself. Self care. The more we make something off limits, the more we crave it. If you want a bowl of ice cream, eat it, but put it in a SMALL bowl. Know that you are worth something & Junk makes us feel like junk!

Try taking apple cider vinegar pills it may clear you out but I noticed I dont feel incline to feel that hungry after it. Another thing you can do is munch on less fat popcorn recommend by my doctor. I've gained 60 pounds since the epidemic but my new job site has a gym that employees can use.
