I will not take a vaccine that is rushed out beyond what the medical experts deem as safe. That being said, I plan to do my research on any vaccine that's made available. When I am satisfied that it has gone through proper testing and isn't some political ploy to garner votes, yes, absolutely I will take it. I take care of my 87 year-old grandmother and 69 year-old mother. On top of that, I have my own health issues that would more than likely spell out a death sentence to me if I should get (or gods forbid, bring home) COVID-19. I take the flu shot every year (have for the past 5-6 years) and ever since I started taking it (knock on wood) I have not gotten the flu. I believe in vaccines, when they are created and released properly.

I'll take it if I am convinced it's safe and after good research into it.

I have needlephobia, but until it's confirmed as safe, then no, I won't take it.

I’m interested as to why people think that a vaccine will be released without being judged to be safe. These things don’t get released to the general public without a license, acquired by proving that it is safe with minimal side effects in extensive human trials. The evidence will be reviewed by scientists who are knowledgeable and qualified in vaccine research and production. I highly doubt that an unsafe vaccine will be pushed on anyone.
I’ll research the vaccine because I’m interested, but I think I said in my previous posts that I trust vaccinologists to research that it’s safe and effective.

Yeah I'll probably get it. But I don't want to be first in line. I want to make sure there aren't any weird side effects. But at my age (I'm 62), I don't want to live the rest of my life worrying about dying from a virus. So yeah, I'll get it when I think it's safe to do so.

Still waiting for someone to elaborate on why it won’t be safe at release, after months of human testing.

Still waiting for someone to elaborate on why it won’t be safe at release, after months of human testing. I would suppose that it is because we won't know the long term effects, if any.

Still waiting for someone to elaborate on why it won’t be safe at release, after months of human testing. I heard within the last couple of days that someone who was a test subject actually died. But they don't necessarily know if the vaccine was the cause. I trust that an American vaccine won't be released before it's been fully tested. But I don't think we know what the long-term effects will be. I mean I'd hate to be injected with something that kept me safe from Covid but ended up making me blind 3 years down the road.

The test subject in Brazil had not had the Oxford vaccine. They were in the control group, so their death could not be contributed to the vaccine. I trust that they’ll be confident about long term effects, even if they can’t 100% guarantee. I believe that the vaccines currently in progress are based on existing vaccine technology, with the targets adapted for SARS-CoV 2. Might be wrong...there are so many in development that I haven’t read too much into it yet.

It will almost certainly be a requirement for me to get given my job, but I don't think I'd see much issue with getting it otherwise.
I'd be a fool to believe that I know more than a medical or science professional on a subject that they are an expert in. I'd also be a fool to listen to sensationalist [social] media with regard to it as well.

I don't have much to loose by getting a covid vaccine.

I'm hesitant, but I think I'll have to.
Till last week my country was the top ranked European country. We're in our 2nd lockdown.
If I have a choice to being locked up in my house with my son who's missing out on parts of his education, I've been working from home for a while now, not being able to practice my hobby, nor my son, not being able to go places... OR have the vaccin and live life again.
I'm trusting the doctors who have studied years and years. If they say it's safe, I'll probably go and get it.

I don't have much to loose by getting a covid vaccine. I was on the waiting list through my work, same as every year, but I have just been told I'm off the waiting list cause I'm not in the red zone. The one year I didn't get the shot, I had the flu so I've always had it since then and now cause there's not enough flu shots I won't get it. On the other hand, we're in lockdown and only allowed to see 1 person, so if this lockdown continues, there's probably no one I could get it from.
