FYI, once you select who you are sending the gift to (or tossing the potato), you have the option to cancel the recipient and choose another before you complete the action.

I just tossed a potato at SyKo by accident instead of SykoNachoman. Fail.

I know that there are already a few measures in place to ensure we use the action on the correct person. However, do you feel like there should be an additional confirmation step after you click the "Use Badge Action" button? Or do you feel it's already clear enough and that you made a mistake? I'm asking because we both made the same mistake, and maybe if you feel strongly one way or another, it should be relayed to the staff. I personally wouldn't mind an additional alert. If it had asked me to confirm that I wanted to throw my potato at Syko, I would have been able to press "cancel" and I wouldn't have wasted the toss.

bigballofyarn, after you click the Use Badge Action, you input the user and select from the list, then you have a chance to review before clicking the User Action button. Since the action isn't immediate upon selecting the recipient, not sure what other safeguard should be for a badge? Until the Badge Fight thread on GT, I don't recall ever seeing this being an issue.

(btw, tossed you a potato so you can keep it going)




UPDATE: bigballofyarn, I labeled this as a feature request. You never know.

Scott , Yes, I know I can look at this screen before clicking "Use Action" at the bottom right.  I suppose another safeguard could be perceived as overkill. On the other hand, now that I made the mistake once, I don't think I would mind it asking me to confirm the toss before it goes through. Thank you for labeling it as a feature request. Thank you for the potato.
