Forum URL: piganon.proboards.comHi, Is there any way to reset the number of views on a member's post/thread to 0 or 1? (nobody has physically responded to it yet). Long story as to why, but it would be extremely helpful if it can be done. Thanks much.

It's not possible, I'm afraid. Perhaps a member of staff can label it as a feature request, because I think there may be some legitimate uses for it.
In the meantime, a plugin could easily mimic this functionality, though I don't know/think one already exists.

Okay, thank you! It would be great if it could get tagged as a feature request. Otherwise, if there's a way to make a formal feature request, I'll be glad to do it.
Thanks again!

I can think of one scenario which I am facing right now. As Admin I am setting up this new forum and as such, I am making edits to one of the Welcome threads so that I am racking up the number of views on that thread. When I am finished, I would have liked to have reset the number of views to zero so I can see how many times it is being viewed by users without my views in the mix.

I can imagine other scenarios where this might be useful, but for your particular one, would copying the contents of the post and reposting it in a new topic work for you? It will allow you to make edits until it is ready, and then when reposted it will have a fresh view count.

Good day,
I the short term, backup the thread/posting, delete the thread/posing and re-create the thread/positing. This should reset the "Views" counter.
I hope this helps?
SP: Just tested this out...works as expected...even though the post shows 1 view.

SP: Just tested this out...works as expected...even though the post shows 1 view. New threads will always show one view. It's yours, after the page refreshes when you submit, you're technically viewing the thread.
