Adding Local Fonts to the Forums

Hello,

I wonder how I could add fonts to my forum, I wish to do this so I can stylize the theme, and perhaps even let it be usuable for other members. Please note that I do not intend to use google fonts, but instead I have (legally) my own, it's in ttf format.

I do need to point out that it is easier and safer to use Google web fonts.

To use a TTF font you need to upload its files to a host that's configured to allow fonts to be linked cross-domain, after which you would link to it in your forum's CSS as a web font.

The font I'm looking for isn't available in Google Fonts, not for free at least.

Any recommendations on where to upload the files so I can link it to the CSS?

JimmyBoy, you might look into Cloudinary. Other than that I'm not sure. Perhaps another member may have a suggestion.

The log-in of the site that was used "fontlibrary.org" is under maintenance of some sort.

JimmyBoy, you would not reference fontlibrary. That thread explained how to add fonts hosted elsewhere. You would apply the same principle using your own font link.

You would need to convert that ttf to an online font format first before you could then upload and host it on a server that is setup to serve webfonts.
