Forum URL: classic50racing.proboards.comI am resurrecting my forum, and I am re aquainting myself with how I update things. I am not that good with computers but managed Ok before. I want to change the photograph in my header, but rather than ruin what I have, could someone please quickly run through how I go about this again, as I want the new photo to be in the same place and size etc. Thank you for any help

Hi You can change that image in the theme images. Admin > Themes > Theme Manager > Click on theme to edit > ImagesYou should see an option at the top for Logo with the current image there. The current image is 1000x666 in width and height. If you need clarification on anything, let us know.

I have a feeling it is somewhere in CSS but I can't find where to change that main image at all. I do not want to ruin what we already have, but it's been a long time since I did this originally. Any further help would be so much appreciated

Go to admin, then themes, then colour and theme creator.
You should see your main page layout there, including the picture you want to change.

I tried what you said, but the image cant be changed there??
I am so confused now. I changed the image where you said but the main image did not alter. So I have no idea what I actually changed.
I am sure I had to change it in CSS, but cant see it and I dont want to ruin what I already have

Could you check the Forum Wrapper template.
admin > themes > layout templates > forum wrapper
Somewhere towards the top, you should see this line:
<div id="banner-container" role="banner">
Is there an img tag under that line that looks like:
<img src=//storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>
or something similar?

If you changed the image, did you click on 'save changes'?
(You definitely dont have to get involved in CSS)

media50, the image link is in your Forum Wrapper layout template, where Craig stated. (Admin > Structure > Layout Templates, Forum Wrapper) You may upload a new image to your theme's custom images: Admin > Themes > Theme Manager - then click on the theme name and then the Images tab, scroll down to Custom Theme Images. Once the new image is uploaded, you can click on the link button, copy the image's link, and then replace the link in the Forum Wrapper with the new link. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank you everyone.
Craig........ this is what I have: <img src=//storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>
I am still a bit unsure how I change to another photo??
Scott. Thank you, I will try later to do exactly what you said.
If I do this and it doesnt work, is there an easy way to restore it to how it is now?

I seem to be stuck with the first image i changed, this is not the one I want, yet I have tried a few different images but the first I changed seems to be the only one it displays what do I need to do? also please can you advise how I remove the letters 'mg' at the start of the title underneath the photo??

Please can anyone confirm that this line is now correct?
<div id="wrapper"> <header> <div id="banner-container" role="banner"> <h2 id="banner"> <isrc= <img src=//storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>mg $[forum.title]
I can't change the image to another now, despite trying several times

media50 , I fixed the code in the template. This line: <isrc= <img src=//storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br>mg should be this: <img src="//storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg" style="margin-bottom:30px;"><br> When you replace the image link be careful to just highlight and replace this part: //storage.proboards.com/6996217/images/qfEYLcoGBNJFmQmWXZWD.jpg
