Hi,

Is there a way to turn off the auto embed feature for signatures only?

Could i ask. Do you not want videos showing at all in the signatures on your forum, or do you just not want them auto embedding? For the latter, is this just for you or would you want it not to auto-embed for everyone?

Craig, I want the auto embed for posts only, but don't want a video to show in a signature. I would like only the link to a video if it's in a signature. A video is too big and distracting to be in a signature.

PF , the only way to have them not auto-embed is to turn off automatic embedding: Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Auto-Embed Video Links (disable).

This of course will disable the auto-embed for posts, but using the Insert Video button will still work to embed the videos in posts.



FYI, I just labeled this thread as a feature request as I can see a benefit for this.


UPDATE:

If you add this to the bottom of your CSS it will reduce the size of the videos in signatures:
.signature iframe {width:256px; height:160px;}

If you want to have them not display at all you can use this instead, although with this option the link will not display either:
.signature iframe {display:none;}
