Hi ProBoards. A happy Thanksgiving to our American overlords.
I am in need for some specific help on labels. I'm running a forum about our Domestic footballeague (soccer) + their international games. For this we extensively use labels in threads. A team would then be such a label. My members post articles and fun bites over a certain team, with those labels added. Other members, interested in more articles about a certain team can then click said label and get a list of everything with the same label. This works great within the boundaries of a board.
Each board comprises of a certain competition. There is a domestic board with the Belgian competition. Then there is a second board with European games following the same Belgian teams. Here lays the problem. The labels I then add to the second board will get a different ID number. I understand the reason for this but it does not suit my needs very much. I will explain further.
In my header I have created Icons for each team. Each icon links to the unique ID for the specific label for that team. When my members click that icon they then see all the articles written holding that label. Again, this works like a charm within the first board. Obviously this will not hold the articles or posts written on the second board as the labels there have different ID's.
So, what am I looking for? I want my members to click a logo from the header and give a list all the articles written from both boards. A fully comprehensive list from both domestic and international games. Is there a way around this problem so that the labels on the second board hold the same ID with the counterpart label from the first board? Or alternatively is there a possibility to link to a page where both ID's are displayed at the same time in a comprised list?
Thanks for any help that you can provide. As a last point I want to say that the structure of the board is fixed for us. We do not want to move the european games into the same board as the domestic games. I understand this would solve this problem immediately as then there would only be 1 ID. However we do not want to go that way as that structure is important to us. My members want that difference form domestic and international as those are 2 completely different competitions who happen to have a few teams in common.
Kind regards.
