Search function isn't working. Possible re-index?

Hello guys. I would like to request a re-index to be done in the forum. Recent threads and posts, as well as the recent results since mid December, don't appear. This also includes labels because the recent ones don't appear when the filter is done. As a premise, I filed a report about the same issue in January, May and September of this year, which you could read them here, here and here, respectively.

I'm wondering if this issue should be forwarded to the systems team to further investigate once again like it was done last time. Thanks in advance!

Hello guys. Apologies in advance, but I would like to request another reindex to be done in the forum. As expected, the latest reindex worked. However, recent threads and posts (as well as the recent results) since the last reindex was done last week don't appear.

Thanks for doing the reindex last week, which worked because the threads and posts which were done until that day (January 2) appeared using the search function. However, I would like to request another one to be done in the forum because the recent threads and posts (as well as the recent results) since January 3 don't appear.

I gave it a solid kick, hopefully this will resolve the issue. It may take up to an hour (or perhaps slightly more) to complete due to the size of the forum.

Thank you for your reply, Michael. The issue isn't solved yet and I assume it's due to the size of the forum as you mentioned earlier, so I'll be waiting a while longer.

Anyway, there are good and bad news. The good news is that the latest reindex that was submitted around 1pm. ET today worked, so the threads and recent posts appear using the search function. However, the bad news is that the ones which were done after this reindex don't.

For example, the last thread that works using the search function is the one below.

• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/209280/ (Title: Best YE number 24 song 2010s)

The subsequent threads that were done after the aforementioned don't appear in their respective parts of the forum and they are the following [as of January 11 at 3:40pm. ET].

• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/209281/ (Title: Young the Giant - TBA)
• pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/209282/ (Title: Caroline Polachek - "So Hot You're Hurting My Feelings")

I tried using 'what to search' and 'where to search' with the word 'number' and this works perfectly as you could see below.

• Search for posts with at least the word number, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link
• Search for posts where the thread title contains number, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link

However, if I tried using 'what to search' and 'where to search' with the words 'giant' and 'hurting', this doesn't work and it doesn't give me any results of this specific threads as you could see below. The same could be applied with the upcoming threads that are going to be created as well.

• Search for posts with at least the word giant, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link
• Search for posts with at least the word hurting, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link
• Search for posts where the thread title contains giant, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link
• Search for posts where the thread title contains hurting, made by Everybody, and display results as threads: link

There was something not working as intended here that was beyond my means, it should be working correctly now and indexing again immediately after it finishes restarting.

Is this all Proboards or just a random board-by-board sporadic thing?

Not all search issues are the same.  Please (per the rules) create your own thread regarding your issue and we'll be happy to assist in getting it resolved for you. Having your own thread ensures the help offered by peers and/or support admin is specific to your issue; and it prevents cross-conversation confusion.
