Okay, working on a new project, and need the site to show the recent posts as home page. Using custom page would be nice option, but the issue of only up to 10 posts, hampers the plan.
The home page is going to be a blog-like entity. If can do right, then may try to limit rest of forum.

Hi @burkeknight I have a feeling this may not be possible, since the information of what is a recent post is not on the custom page and any script would not be able to get the relevant information to display, unless Chris knows a way it can be done.

Well, I was hoping for an idea on how to make it like going to the recent posts page. But maybe someone has a way to make that the home, instead.

Not sure you if you have seen this plugin: www.proboards.com/library/plugins/item/676You could use that to display 100 of the recently updated threads. There's an option to display them in a container with a specific id, which you could create on the custom page.

Not doing list of threads, my friend. I'd really just like to get the Recent Posts page as the home page. Where it'll keep going as pages, when get over number of posts set to a page. Full posts, like a blog would have.
That's why the widget for custom page will not work, because its max number is 10.

Ah, ok. You want the actual contents of the posts to display. I don't believe that would be achievable, i'm afraid. The best i can do is label this as a feature request to have the ability to set the recent posts page as the landing page and/or be able to display more than 10 in the custom widget.

@burkeknight, currently from what I can see, one can set recent posts as the home page in v6.

I know in Navigation settings, I could set the Home button to the recent posts page, but is there a way to redirect the home page to it?

@burkeknight, unless I'm misunderstanding what you are saying, the "home" navigation is "/" and cannot be edited.

Well, that's why I made a new Home button in navigation, and unchecked both display (Desktop & Mobile) on the original.
Now, I just need to find a way to make the banner link to go to the same, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Got that fixed, just need to replace Home in nav tree to forum.

@burkeknight, I was going to recommend this:
In your forum wrapper template, replace this:
<h2 id="banner"> $[forum.title] </h2>
with this:
<a id="logo" href="/posts/recent"><img src="https://www.sjb.cc.nf/blog/ScottsBlog.png" alt="Scott's Blog" title="Scott's Blog"></a>
and then add this to the bottom of your CSS:
a#logo { display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; width: 50%; }
