Forum URL: gooroosgruntz.proboards.comAn annoying change has been made that changed all of our national flag displays via this string "<img src="http://iycatacombs.com/offsite/flags/us.png alt="us">" (using the local country ID in this example) which displays an image on a white background of the figure (in pink) designating 'female' with wings and a halo ... and text saying SEX PARADISE.
I have no idea where to find this piece of garbage in order to remove it and restore our own (animated) images.
Edit: let's see if it will display for you here; The image should be left of this text.
This appears in place of the animated GIFs, as

That domain (iycatacombs.com) was used years ago by Chris (and maybe others) for storing resources for codes [1,2] but that was over a decade ago and that domain no longer appears to be in the original owner's hand. The domain however still appears to be set on that forum in the installed country flags plugin set as the base URL instead of the replacement host (https://gooroosgruntz.info/Flags/). Edit the plugin and replace the base URL with the proper replacement host

Great answer! I have a bit more work to do (tomorrow ... near my bedtime now) to finish up, but I successfully changed the US entry so that flag now flies again.

Let us know how you get on, or if you require any further help with this I have updated the plug-in, and my own profile is now correctly showing the animated flag. I went into the profile of a member who has been absent for several years, and made a correction there that also worked. In a Forum that is nearing 19 years old, there have been a number of things that I did years ago that I have completely forgotten about, as the flag in profile plug-in is an excellent example. And at my age, there will undoubtedly be more of these forgotten changes that may require maintenance in the future.

For whatever this is worth, it's generally recommended that you upload any forum-wide images to your theme(s) -- even for plugin usage, you can grab the URL from the theme images -- to avoid this issue of the original host being sold or them swapping out images.
