Inexperienced admin (30 minutes or so) has changed his/my avatar but it doesn't (yet) show up. Is there a delay while it wriggles its way through the system?
Main Question: I READ and on phpBB systems there is an "Advanced Search" feature. Please and thank you, is there a similar means of sifting through 000s of posts here?
In phpBB I particularly like being able to search in the topic/thread title only, and report only topics; it's a super-fast way of zeroing in on likely answers. Thanks for the welcome and easy way to set up a forum :clapping: Cheers, Chris

chrisgreaves - Regarding the avatar, I see that you uploaded the image but did not set it to display. Your avatar setting is still set as "No Avatar". Go to your Profile > Edit Profile > Avatar tab and in the middle section (Choose) tick the radio button for "Use only the Uploaded/Linked", then click the Save Avatar Changes button. For search, there are multiple options. At the top of the forum is the Search button on the navigation menu. This allows for a forum wide search. At the top of a board (on the right side of the pagination bar) is the search for contents with in that board. There is a similar search option when viewing a thread that searches within the thread. For both the board and thread search, clicking the magnifying glass icon brings up an options box where you can fine tune your search.

Regarding the avatar, I see that you uploaded the image but did not set it to display. Thank you Scott. I now have a cheerful (!) avatar on this support page, and will try to work out today why not on my personal forum page. Getting there ... Too I shall explore these options. My "acceptance test" will be locating a specific post and topic that I have cdreated in my personal forum, and likewise narrowing down a specific post & thread in the support forum. Thanks again. Chris.
