Just curious as to how Proboards counts guests. We're a tiny forum but yesterday for example we got over 200 guest views. When I say tiny I mean about 6 people posting - it's a new forum. Does the guest count include a member that logs on so both their initial arrival at the site and their logout might count as 2 guests? Is each page view a 'separate' guest? We are just curious the other admin and I - retired computer scientists with too much time on our hands likely!

It counts search bots. It counts members before they log in. It counts all of us on ProBoards Support who clicked on your link to try to help you.
Maybe someone posted something that caught the attention of the search engine bots. Maybe your forum was linked on a really popular site.

Thanks bigballofyarn. We figured it was maybe counting activity rather than actual people. Or we figured that someone really needed some help - and fast if they spent yesterday clicking on everything!

Also yes, it does double count a member yet to log in as a "guest" and then separately as a "member" upon logging in.
