I am having a few challenges engaging moderators, staff and administrators.

I would prefer to have more than one administrator , in the interest of the forum longevity. I urgently need to add moderators and assign powers. I have been unable to find the panel where these issues can be addressed

Also my forum does not have web presence , I received a message telling me that i needed to add a "forum description" which I have done  and submitted it. I also applied a forum  front page icon (A surfer) , this has not changed either. Is there something I have not done yet?? Something that needs fixing?

 I really appreciate all the help i can get. I am a newborn forum administrator, full of hope, lots to learn and grow eager to explore the  possibilities .

How did you add the image / what steps did you take?

I went to forum settings, Forum Thumbnail,found a picture of a surfer and added it to the thumbnail The picture shows up there but not in the forums banner.
Once I get everything sorted out, I will look back and think " how could I have been so stupid"? Until then??/

The image you uploaded was for the Directory. Which by the way, I would recommend using a different image and resubmitting your Directory entry. You find this under Admin > Settings > Forum Settings > Directory tab.


To add a banner image to your forum go to Admin > Themes> Colors & Theme Creator. Scroll down to the section Forum Banner. The third option listed is for Banner Image. If your image is hosted on with an image hosting service you can add the link URL to the field. Or to upload the banner image, click on the upload button and select the image you want from your computer.

Once uploaded, the forum preview (either to the right or below depending on your monitor size) should display the new banner image.

If needed, use the Banner Position option (located below the Banner Image field) to position the image. Click the position dropdown to select the desired position.

If you need to adjust the height of the banner area change the value in the Banner Height field. Note, this only affects the viewing area of the banner image, it does not change the dimensions of the actual banner image itself.

When done, make sure to click the Save Changes button.

Why do you think this?  The members you sent a personal message directly have received them. And the automated personal message that is sent when a new user registers was received as well.
