Forum isn't coming working

The forum i run has become "unavailable" and hasn't been up since yesterday.

What do I do?

Did you pay for the renewal of your domain? The information I see might not be the most accurate or up to date, but I'm seeing that your domain expired a few hours ago. Can you access your forum via its ProBoards URL?

Ok, I paid but something isnt right as it now says expired.

That's an issue to take up with them, however, the original default web address isn't working either. I used to be able to log in at www.audioaddicts.freeforums.net but Google isnt finding that either.

I can get in via Tapatalk, but I can't get into any setting that way.

Business/office hours are: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm Pacific time (-8 GMT)

Btw ProBoards forums don't use www at the start. The url would be the following.

You said you renewed the other day though, correct? If the payment went in over this past weekend, that could explain the delay. Payments don't always process over the weekend. The admins will be in the office around 9:00AM Pacific though and can hopefully help you more. However, you may have to contact the company from which you purchased the domain.

I think the problem here lies with the domain being expired.  There won't be much the staff here can do to remedy that particular issue.

Just to be clear, it is the domain name which is showing as expired.  This would need to be renewed at the site you purchased the domain name.

If that was where you renewed it, there may have been an issue with the renewal.  It would be worth contacting the company you purchased the domain from to see what the problem is with the renewal and hopefully they will be able to help you.

Just to be clear, it is the domain name which is showing as expired.  This would need to be renewed at the site you purchased the domain name.

If that was where you renewed it, there may have been an issue with the renewal.  It would be worth contacting the company you purchased the domain from to see what the problem is with the renewal and hopefully they will be able to help you.

The original .freeforums.net still gets access to the forum, but I can't log in?

I just reset the default URL for the forum which means you should be able to log in if you visit the forum at audioaddicts.freeforums.net.


Now from what I can see the custom domain has been renewed at the registrar. However when the domain expired it reset the DNS settings that you had originally entered for forum to work with the custom domain. This is why the domain is not currently working. You need to log in to the registrar (where you renewed) and set the DNS to work with your forum.

Do you recall the method you used? Was it our nameservers or did you use a CNAME through Cloudflare?

I have no idea. It was one of the options on the upgrade listings. I bought and renewed through Domain.com

Go back to Domain.com and update the nameservers to:

n2.proboards.com
ns2.proboards.com
