So I used one of those sites that will automatically scan your site and make recommendations for improvement and one I got was: "This webpage is not serving images in a modern format! Image formats like JPEG 2000, JPEG XR, and WebP often provide better compression than PNG or JPEG, which means faster downloads and less data consumption." So I converted my largest image, the banner, to WebP. It cut the size in half. But when I went to upload it to Proboards I got "Filetype not allowed".

adminabp - You are correct, webp is not a supported file type and I have marked this as a feature request. In the meantime you have two options: - You can convert the webp to jpg and it should hold the reduce size. (ezgif.com/webp-to-jpg)
- Or run your jpg/png image through a compressor like compressor.io/ which retains the jpg/png extension and reduces the file size considerably.
