Customising posts to publish at set times

**Feature Request**

Would it be possible for an Admin to create a post / thread then have it posted at a specific future time?

This would be a very useful and helpful feature for us if we're not always online when posts need to be published.

Just a courtesy reply to levelset expectations: it's totally OK to make feature requests, but further development on v5, including the addition of features, is on indefinite hiatus. Similarly, development on v6 is also on indefinite hiatus.

A PB admin will be by in an hour or two to formally respond to the request and add it to the list of requests so it can be considered if development resumes in the future.

Scheduled posts was something we were working on for v6 already, most likely as a plugin. However, as Kami noted above, development on v6 is currently on indefinite hiatus.

While not an ideal solution, you can completely make and edit a post in a staff-only board and then later edit that post, copy the BBCode view of the whole post, and then throw it in the available-to-all board where you want the post to reside. This can cut down on the whole posting time issue and hopefully provide a workaround.

Kami and Michael - thanks for the replies. Ok, understood. Shame to hear that about v6 development. Hopefully it can begin again at some point.

On the same topic of scheduling:

One other feature that would be super useful for the developers to implement would be to schedule threads to lock at specific times.

If this could ever be added too we'd be most grateful.
