“You have been banned from this forum” message

Hi yesterday I have received a message on my Pluse Music account saying “You have been banned from this forum”. I don’t remember doing anything wrong, I’m so confused, and puzzled. I know ProBoards won’t interfere, but
I need some help to get resolved. Is it me or my IP address? If you not part of the administration team, can you give me some tips or if some of you are part of ProBoards, I need a direct contact with the administration please.

PB is not going to give you direct contact with the admins of that forum, full stop. When we say PB won't interfere, that's literal and includes *all* actions, not just banning or unbanning. Also, giving out contact info of their users is a legal no-no.

If you were banned, you were banned, and you are not going to receive assistance in "resolving" the issue I'm afraid. PB might be able to confirm if it's intentional or not, but bear in mind people can ban your account AND your email AND your IP all at the same time so being banned by IP is not necessarily indicative of an accident.

My recommendation is to see if there is a guest-friendly way to post on the forum or see if there's a public email to write to. Otherwise just chalk it up to a loss and find another community.

So what are you saying is that if I go to another community pages I’m gonna keep making the same mistakes and keep getting banned left and right?

No, that's not what she's saying at all.

Every forum has its own administration and its own rules. So, actions that may be "ban worthy" on one forum may not be on another. You (and they) have to comply with the ProBoards service-wide CoC, but aside from that, it's all up to the individual forums to run as they please.

I can confirm your account was banned by the forum. Unfortunately there isn't anything we can do to assist, sorry! Forum Admins have the right to manage their membership which includes the right to accept, refuse, ban, and delete members - with or without a reason.

moonbeam already covered the general gist of what i was trying to say + scott did confirm that you had been banned, but i wanted to add some additional context to my initial reply.

PB is a service and provides a software with which to build communities. that is their only function, and the help you can receive here from PB the company is literally only with regards to the software -- not any of the specific communities' choices about how to operate.

i want to point out that i did recommend that you see if there was a guest-friendly way to post on the forum, or to see if there was a public email to write to. i double checked the forum in question, and they do actually have an email they specifically direct any questions about admin/mod decisions to. if your ban from the forum prevents you from seeing the forum at all, even while logged out, then it would seem to indicate that they do not wish to afford you the opportunity to contact them. however, if you are able to see the forum whilst logged out, you can find the contact email in the 'rules' tab of their forum menu.

beyond that, i just advise to find a forum that actually welcomes your participation. this forum has made its decision, so it really is best to move on.
