When you ban the account, do you select all three options available? So the username, global account, and the IP? This will not definitively stop accounts like that registering, but will cause them a hindrence. Although you will never be able to stop spam accounts entirely as it is a constant battle of changing methods, ProBoards does have measures in place that stops the vast majority of them. Scott may have more to add when he gets online to help you further regarding the global banning. Craig

This is most likely due to a tool that disabled that user's account across all forums due to unsavory behavior on one or more forums. They probably joined your forum with evil intent, but Proboards cast a spell that rendered them and their doppelgangers as tiny piles of dust in your forum logs. Hi, Users who spam forums on our service are run through a tool that automatically disables other accounts tied to their global account and then removes their posts. The account you're seeing is almost definitely one of the accounts tied to a spammer that was removed.

Next time I will ban the username and IP as well, Guess I will need to go to Administration to do that. I did lock the thread where he was repeatedly posting. So the next attempt will probably be on some other thread.
