Hello,
I have requested this before and think it would be a good feature to have, or something within the PB system. Sometimes an account gets deleted by accident, or someone changes their mind after they delete. IMO, it would be nice if a member had a few days to restore their account before it gets permanently deleted.
Someone accidentally deleted a member's forum while meaning to disable the account. The tabs are close together, so he clicked on the 'delete account' tab instead of the 'save' tab. Now that account is deleted with no way to restore it.
Thank you for your consideration.

25or6to4 - I'm a bit confused by this. There isn't a delete member tab, save tab, or disable tab. One cannot accidentally delete a member. Deleting a member triggers a popup box that clearly states a member account is about to be deleted and then the word "delete" has to be typed in before clicking the delete button. (Even a member deleting their account encounters the same popup box and confirmation requirement.)

Scott, I'm referring to the 'Staff Options' page on a member's 'Edit Profile' where you can temporarily disable a member's account. I just realized what you said though. It is impossible to accidentally delete a member's account for the reasons you said. Very odd that I was told he 'accidentally' deleted it. That's not possible. But he wanted it restored and I told him it couldn't be restored.

25or6to4 - just curious, is this for the forum you cited? I looked at the security log and there hasn't been a member delete for 2 months. Is it possible they are referring to something else? Feel free to PM me if you want to go into details about this.

In an attempt to make it sound like a less severe action on his part and in hopes of someone being nice and restoring it, he said that it was an accident. I'm making a speculation based on little information and not trying to mischaracterize this person. They can, however, re-register, and if the staff wants, they can edit his profile and put back his post count so that his profile looks the same. However, no previous posts will be connected to his new account.
