Forum URL: varietygalore.boards.netI find all this seemingly permanent non-participation to be statistically impossible. Especially people becoming members because membership allows posting, and then continuing to lurk.

Do Bots apply for membership in order to participate and then lurk? It's conceivable. Bots have been known to join forums and other sites to harvest data. This is not unique to ProBoards. Thanks for the feedback!
